VoNR Technology

VoNR is a being a common term in now a days. Each country throughout the world is in the 5G development race and now they are deploying VoNR technology. Before getting deeper into this, let us understand “What is VoNR ?”.

What is VoNR ?

VoNR stands for Voice over New Radio. It is a technology which is based on 5G Standalone Architecture. When it is used that means you can use 5G data while you are on a phone call. In simpler terms, we were using VoLTE with 4G and when we make and recieve calls at that time 4G data remains active. So, in the similar manner when we use VoNR we can access 5G data while we are on calls.

How it works ?

VoNR is a technology which is dependent on 5G SA technology. As many companies use 5G NSA (Non-Standalone Architecure), which is fully based on 4G architecture. In shorter terms we can say that 5G NSA is an advance version of 4G. As 4G have its VoLTE service, therefore on the same concept VoNR is a service which is used for placing calls, but this time on 5G network.
