What is eSIM?

eSIM is also known as embedded SIM, which can also be called as Virtual SIM. A SIM is a subscriber identification module, which have all the details of its subscriber. By the use of these details we all are able to make and receive calls, use the internet (also called as Mobile Data) & send and receive SMS. Here eSIM is an embedded SIM card, which is preinstalled on a mobile phone.

How to use eSIM?

Using eSIM is a very easy way, you just have to contact your Network provider and check that, if they have eSIM facility available. If it is present there, then you have to ask for eSIM activation. For that you have to provide the details as asked by you Network provider, then you will receive a QR code, which you have to scan by the phone in which you want to use the eSIM facility. Now your eSIM facility will get activated within few hours.

Is eSIM available in India?

Yes, eSIM facility is available in India by Bharti Airtel, Vi (Vodafone Idea LTD) & Jio. You can get your physical SIM converted to eSIM online on Airtel and Vodafone Idea, but for Jio, you have to visit your nearest Jio store.
